In the inland plains lies [[Sallishaw Reservoir]]. The dam that created the reservoir was a community built project, built not just to irrigate the surrounding fields, but to drown the village of [[Adlington]], home of the infamous [[Adlington Massacre]] in 1685.  And in 1764, the [[Prophet of Callister]] made her first predictions on the shores of the lake.
